Raymond Mejia is a first year undergraduate student at California State University, Northridge. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School. He has lived in Koreatown for his entire life. He strives to get a degree in computer science and go into the filed of cybersecurity. He has participated in the CyberPatriot competition for 3 years and has been in the highest division for all of that time. Raymond has experience working with the languages Java, JavaScript, Python, cmd, power shell, html. He has also worked on different operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, and Kali. During the competition Raymond was the head of the Windows division. He helps on any Windows problem and operates with the Windows virtual machine. For 3 rounds he had to work on two virtual machines at the same time and was able to get a good enough score on both to have his team keep their platinum ranking. He values team work and being able to expand his knowledge. During his 3 years competing, he was able to learn very important things in the field of computer science. Learning to read html, write scripts, and cryptology has inspired Raymond in a variety of ways. Mainly, it inspired his deep passion for cybersecurity and ethical hacking. He will continue to work towards his goal and make it a reality.
